History

The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, has a rich legacy of excellence in technological, managerial, and engineering education. Established in 1973 through the East Central State Edict No 10, IMT was formed by merging several institutions with diverse focuses on technology, administration, and cooperative studies. This strategic consolidation, initiated in 1971, aimed to create a comprehensive higher education institution capable of producing skilled professionals to address regional and national needs.
