NATIONAL EXECUTIVE OF FAA-IMT PAYS COURTESY CALL TO THE RECTOR

The National Executive Council of the Forum of the Alumni Association of IMT, Enugu (FAA-IMT) ably led by its National President, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Rector of IMT, Enugu.
The Rector, Prof Gozie Ogbodo who was visibly excited, welcomed National Executive Council of the Forum of the Alumni Association of IMT, Enugu (FAA-IMT)
He thanked NEC members for making out time to visit him. He said it was a delight working with the Alumni of the school and in demonstrating this gesture, he had authorized a fully furnished administrative office with an attached desk officer, be given to the Alumni body for effective dissemination of their administrative duties.
The National President of FAA-IMT, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu thanked the Rector for the fatherly role he played since his assumption of office. He also thanked the the Rector for the smart office Secretariat allotted to NEC.
He briefed the Rector on NEC’s achievements and its upcoming Alumni Lecture and scholarship scheme slated this year. He called on the Rector and his management to partner the Alumni for in-depth collaboration of its activities.
Responding, Prof Ogbodo summarized his activities for the school so far to include; Students welfare, refurbishment of the hostels and staff quarters, staff welfare and attendance to work, curtailing sorting and examination malpractice.
For incentives, Prof Ogbodo said he will introduce a Scheme called “A day with the Rector” as a reward scheme for deserving students.
He called on NEC to collaborate with the school in refurbishing IMT primary School which has lost its pride of place due to poor funding and structural defects.
The meeting ended with a luncheon treat to NEC members by the Rector and its management.
