NATIONAL UNIVERSITY COMMISSION APPROVES THE AWARD OF DEGREE IN MASS COMMUNICATION AND COMPUTER SCIENCE
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the award of Bachelors Degree in two additional programmes i.e. Mass Communication and Computer Science for the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu in affiliation with the University of Nigeria.
The undergraduate programmes are to be run in the main campus of the Institute with effect from 2019/2020 academic session.
According to NUC, all programmes shall bear only the approved titles and nomenclature, and any changes will require the approval of the commission.
NUC enjoined the IMT and UNN to provide adequate human and material resources for the growth and development of the approved programmes.
Thus, this approval brings the number of the Departments involved in the affiliation programmes to eight (8). They are:
- Marketing – B.sc
- Accounting – B.sc
- Banking and Finance – B.sc
- Public Administration – B.sc
- Business Administration – B.sc
- Statistics – B.sc
- Mass Communication – B.sc
- Computer Science – B.sc
