The Library Division is the backbone of our institution’s knowledge management system, and it is comprised of four integral units that work in harmony to provide seamless access to information. These units are:
Acquisition Unit: Responsible for sourcing and procuring new materials to enrich our collection.
Cataloguing Unit: Expertly organizes and describes our resources to facilitate easy discovery.
Classification Unit: Ensures that materials are systematically categorized for intuitive access.
Bindery Unit: Preserves and protects our resources for long-term use.
These units’ activities are strategically grouped into three core areas:
Collection Development (Acquisition): Building and maintaining a relevant and diverse collection.
Cataloguing: Creating accurate and detailed metadata for efficient resource discovery.
Processing: Ensuring that materials are properly prepared and maintained for user access.
By streamlining these processes, the Library Division provides a hassle-free experience for users, empowering them to explore, learn, and grow.
