The School of Engineering was established in 1973. There are six departments in the school: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Agric and Bioenvironmental Engineering. The National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes normally last for four semesters each. A student may spend about eight semesters for completing the ND and HND programmes.
The aim of establishing the School of Engineering is to train students to acquire and apply scientific, mathematical, economic, social and practical knowledge to build structures, machines, devices, systems and processes in order to realize solutions to societal problems.
